Did you know that the fishing industry today provides 16% of the world protein. In New Brunswick a huge primary industry would be fishing, this includes most seafood, fish, lobster, crabs, shrimp ect. Fishing is a vital part of New Brunswick social standards, it brings in money from trade or sales of the seafood and it also brings in food for the communities there. Since New Brunswick is right of the Atlantic Coast it is in ideal place for fishing. The fishing industry dates way back to when the vikings and trading cod, then to fisheries in Europe, Italy and Spain and today fisheries are still a huge part of the economy, as many people rely on it to bring in food as well as provide jobs.
New Brunswick accounts for a lot fishing and they distribute it all over for other people to enjoy fresh seafood. For example a place like Saskatchewan doesn't have a fishing industry to provide them with fish, so they rely on places like New Brunswick's distribution of seafood. New Brunswick is also one of the largest exporters of fish and seafood in the industry. There are many different disturbers and they ship it all over the world to places that can not get their hands on seafood. Some of the fish is traded for other goods from other countries that New Brunswick can not grow them selves. They trade fish for many things such as fruits, vegetables, grains and many more things that New Brunswick is not able to supply themselves with.
