In New Brunswick there has been a recent discovery that the bedrock is filled with natural gases. New Brunswick does not want this to become and environmental issue, they want to keep it under control. They also do not want to disturb the natural landscape of New Brunswick. The committee of "New Brunswick Natural Resources" have teamed up to find a safer way to extract the natural gas from the softest layer of rock know as shale. It is not positive that they have and industry in natural gas but "Sam McEwan assistant deputy minister for lands, minerals and petroleum for the New Brunswick Natural Resources says they hope they do have and industry in natural gas and if they do they would like to make is the best possible by being leaders and taking action towards looking at the issues and what other people have done so they can put together the best plan to keep this from becoming an environmental issue."
